PeeWee Program

The PeeWees are back! The Pee Wee Program is a beginner group riding lesson on Saturday mornings geared toward our younger beginner riders. It is a great way to introduce young riders to horseback riding without the commitment of regular lessons or a long-term financial commitment. Our young riders will learn basic balance, riding position and control of the horse in the arena by navigating obstacles, doing mounted  exercises and learning to trot on a leadline. Many kiddos stay in the PeeWee Program, but many find they want more, and transition into the regular riding lesson program. 

We had to quit doing the PeeWee Program during Covid because it was so popular, we had huge crowds hanging out in our lounge area waiting for their child to ride. Although this was often a nice time of socializing (aka parent coffe social hour), it often meant there were long waits for young kids to ride if a big group of riders showed up at once. To prevent this, we are now using a sign-up sheet so that we know exactly who is showing up when and young kids do not have to test their patience waiting for their turn.
